My name is Oscar Selstam

I'm a Swedish technical artist. My main areas of expertise are 3D graphics, programming and design. I value an adaptive approach, and vary my working mediums based on the task at hand. I'm a strong believer in quality over quantity.

Blekinge Institute of Technology

I started studying the program of Technical Artist at BTH the fall of 2018. The studies focus on the technical implementation and optimization of graphics in games. Some of the software we'll be working with are Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, Quixel and Z-Brush. The main programming language for the courses is C++, however we'll also learn scripting with C#, Python and MEL.

Uppsala University

I studied graphics and game design at Uppsala University, Campus Gotland, from 2015 to 2016. The studies focused on the cornerstones of drawing and game design, starting with character design and board games. By the end of the courses we were drawing full scenes and utilizing Agile game development with Scrum. I also produced a complete game in a modern game engine for the annual Gotland Game Conference.

Experience

I have worked as a consultant for companies within waste treatment, making presentation material. The work consisted of producing 3D renderings of industrial installations, one of which has made it onto a Norwegian news network. Some of the material is presented in my portfolio.
